BiographyDavid J. Jayne is British and has lived near Frankfurt, Germany since 1987. He a freelance journalist, hobby musician and import businessman. He was born in west London in late 1955 and moved with his parents at age five to the Essex countryside. He attended Brentwood School - then a direct grant school - as a boarder in Hough House from 1967 to 1974 up to his A-level year. Thereafter he helped with his father's business in Maldon for a year until 'fleeing the nest' and entering the world of electronics. He learnt the fundamentals as a trainee with an electronics development company in High Wyconbe, Buckinghamshire, then progressed to a small retail chain back in Brentwood for a number of years until reaching management level. A situation vacant advert appearing in a newspaper left on the train seat opposite led him to start a long career in telecommunications, first in London and Birmingham and then in Frankfurt with Telenorma/Tenovis/Avaya and in Friedrichshafen with Nortel Dasa. Initiated by the bubbleburst in 2003, David became a professional photographer specialising in overhead shots and architecture. He counted international estate agents and nationwide department stores amongst his clients until these were suffering from the global recession. |
